Source Code & Data Backup Policy
At eWeblink Technology LLP, we are committed to providing secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions.
This policy defines our approach to source code management, ownership, and data backup practices, ensuring transparency
and protection for our clients.
1. Ownership of Source Code
- All source code developed by eWeblink Technology LLP remains the intellectual property of the company unless explicitly transferred through a signed Source Code Buyout Agreement.
- By default, clients receive the compiled, functional version of the software/website/portal for business use, not the raw source code.
- Source code rights are not transferred unless agreed upon in writing.
2. Source Code Access
- Access to source code is provided only if it is included in the commercial contract and after full payment of the agreed source code ownership fee.
- Unauthorized access, modification, duplication, or resale of source code is strictly prohibited.
3. Source Code Transfer (Buyout)
- Clients may request full ownership of the source code through a formal buyout agreement.
- Once buyout payment is received, source code rights are transferred, and the client becomes responsible for future maintenance, bug fixes, updates, and security.
- eWeblink Technology LLP will not be liable for any third-party modifications made after transfer.
4. Confidentiality
- The source code and related documentation are treated as confidential intellectual property.
- Clients and any third parties must not disclose, distribute, or replicate the code without written consent from eWeblink Technology LLP.
5. Modifications & Enhancements
- Any further changes, feature requests, or upgrades after delivery (or after source code transfer) will be treated as new work and quoted separately.
- If source code is not purchased, all updates and modifications must be done through eWeblink Technology LLP.
6. Data Backup Policy
- Regular Backups: We maintain weekly backups of source code, databases, and project files on secure servers.
- Redundancy: Backup copies are stored in multiple locations to prevent data loss in case of system failure.
- Retention Period: Backups are retained for 30–90 days, depending on the project scope.
- Disaster Recovery: In the event of data loss, we can restore your project from the latest available backup at no additional cost during the maintenance/support period.
- Post-Delivery Backups: After project handover, ongoing backup and monitoring can be provided under an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC).
7. Security & Compliance
- We use secure version control systems (Git/Bitbucket) with restricted developer access.
- All code repositories are protected with role-based permissions and encryption for maximum security.
8. Legal Protection
Any unauthorized usage, sharing, or resale of eWeblink Technology LLP’s proprietary source code will result in legal action under applicable intellectual property and cyber laws.
